Bad Hair 8-bit Game
In this horror satire set in 1989, Bad Hair follows an ambitious woman who gets a weave in order to succeed in the image-obsessed world of music TV. Embracing the retro vibes of the late 80s, Hulu leaned into stylish throwback themes across all of their marketing creative, which included. a short browser game called “Keep it Together”, where the player must repeatedly style their hair as various unfortunate circumstances continually mess it up. The player character is on her way to an important job interview for an MTV-style video jockey (VJ) as this series of catastrophic coincidences threatens to ruin everything. True to the style of 80’s gaming, “Keep it Together” is addictive and over the top in equal parts.
